iTMS TV for UK . . . Soon!

MacDailyNews, TV shows coming to UK soon

Exciting times. Looks like TV via the UK iTunes Music Store is on the near horizon, couple that with the news that ABC are going to test the water with free (advert inclusive) shows this summer and it’s starting to look like IP TV could be well on it’s way to true success by the end of the year. And not a moment too soon I say! (^_~)

2006 should also see the launch of IP TV from the BBC, here’s hoping that they offer a nice Mac solution.

This is why I think the complaint that the Mac Mini has no digital tuner is pointless. The days of getting your TV through Satellite, Cable and Over the air are numbered. Apple want to be a part of ipTV not broadcast TV.

I agree, they are ahead of the curve on this whole TV thing. Give it 3 years and most people will be wondering what to with their Sky boxes.

How long before the BBC have to scrap the licence fee? Sooner rather than later I imagine.
