Dell stands by mis-sold server order
Dell stands by server order | The Register
Kate was asked by her boss to contact Dell to buy two new desktop computers and "something to link them". Dell sold her two PCs and a PowerEdge server, ironically with only one network card. The lesson here is... Don't buy Dell. Dell computers start out cheap but as soon as you call them to order there are a heap of extra costs added on. Then of course there's the upsell. If you buy the wrong thing it'll cost you an arm and a leg in shipping to sort it out. If you're really lucky you'll end up with a PowerEdge that you didn't want or need just like Kate.
